Terms of Service
Last updated: October 31, 2026
These terms cover two things: using this website, and hiring Rocklin Water Heater Pros to work on your water heater. By using the site or booking work with us, you agree to them. Where a signed written contract or work order for a specific job says something different, that document wins.

Using This Website
The content here is general information about water heaters and our services. It is not a diagnosis of your equipment and it is not an offer of a fixed price. Prices, ranges and timescales shown on this site are typical figures for the Rocklin area and are illustrative only โ your actual price comes from an estimate given to you for your specific unit and property. We may change the content of this site at any time without notice.
Please do not use this site to attempt unauthorised access, to scrape it at a volume that disrupts it, or to copy its text and images for another business. The text, images, logo and layout belong to us or our licensors.
Safety Information Is Not a Substitute for a Technician
Some pages describe steps such as closing a cold inlet valve or switching off a breaker. Those are included to help you limit damage while you wait for us. Water heaters involve gas, electricity, pressurised water and scalding temperatures. If you choose to work on your own equipment you do so at your own risk, and we accept no responsibility for the outcome. If you ever smell gas, leave the building and call your gas utility from outside before calling us.
Estimates and Pricing
We quote a diagnostic or service-call fee before we come out. On site we diagnose the fault and give you a written price for the work. No work starts until you approve that price. If you approve the repair, the diagnostic fee is credited against it.
An estimate assumes normal access and the conditions we could see at the time. If hidden conditions appear once panels come off or a unit is drained โ corroded piping, unsafe venting, an undersized gas line, electrical faults, a missing pan or code upgrades required to pass inspection โ we will stop, explain, and give you a revised written price for your approval before continuing. Estimates are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
Scheduling, Access and Cancellation
Arrival windows are our best estimate and can move when an emergency call comes in; we will tell you if that happens. You agree to give us safe, clear access to the water heater and to secure pets during the visit. If we cannot access the unit, or nobody is home at the agreed time, we may charge the service-call fee. Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Larger replacement jobs may require a deposit, which will be set out in the written contract for that job and will comply with California limits on contractor deposits. Equipment we supply remains our property until it has been paid for in full.
Permits and Code Compliance
Water heater replacement in California normally requires a permit and an inspection. Where we replace a unit we pull the permit and install to current code, including seismic strapping, correct relief-valve discharge, drain pan and expansion tank where required. If you ask us to carry out work that would not meet code, we will decline it.
Warranty
Our workmanship is guaranteed. If something we repaired or installed fails because of how we did the work, tell us and we will come back and put it right at no charge for the labor. Equipment and parts carry the manufacturer's own warranty, and the manufacturer's terms โ including any requirement that the unit be properly maintained โ govern those claims. We will help you make a claim and provide our records.
Our guarantee does not cover faults caused by misuse, freezing, water quality, work by others, power or gas supply problems, sediment or scale damage on a unit that has not been maintained, or an existing unit or component we advised you to replace and you chose to keep.
Pre-Existing Conditions and Water Damage
We are frequently called to equipment that is already leaking or already failed. We are not responsible for damage that existed before we arrived, for damage caused by a failure that was already in progress, or for consequential damage such as loss of use, mold remediation or damaged belongings, except to the extent it was caused by our own negligence.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our total liability arising out of any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here removes your rights under the California home improvement contract rules, including your right to cancel within the statutory period where it applies.
Complaints
If something is wrong, call us first โ most issues are fixed by sending a technician back. Email service@waterheaterrepairrocklin.com or call (916) 270-0948. California licensed contractors are also subject to the oversight of the California CSLB, and you may contact that body about a licensed contractor at any time.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute will be heard in the courts serving Placer County, California.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. The version in force is the one published when you book your work.
